Steve Kaufman was an American pop artist, fine artist, showman, sculptor, stained glass artist, filmmaker, photographer and humanitarian. Our documentary tells the true untold story of Steve Kaufman, the protégé of Andy Warhol. Steve’s path to success in the art world came with many dramatic and funny stories. His determination of becoming one of the best “pop artists” in the world is what hindered his success that included his obsession of blind love for beautiful women that took advantage of him in many ways. The stressful lifestyle Steve lived to keep up his “Smoke and Mirror” successful image as a world class artist caused his never ending need for lavish greed. This great success is what caused his ultimate downfall and the sudden death of him at the age of 49.
